Fotolog: A unique experience, where photo-sharing site meets blog and social network.

Fotolog is the 4th largest social network in the world (source: Alexa, May 2008) and currently represents one of the most active communities on the Internet: no. 1 in Chile, no. 2 in Argentina and no. 4 in Spain (source: comScore, April 2008).
The site, which is translated into 17 languages, attracts over 30 million unique users a month from over 200 countries.

Fotolog was created in 2002 in New-York City as a way for friends to share photos. It grew into a global phenomenon that connects members worldwide using the universal language of the photograph.

The principle is simple: Fotolog provides its members with a dedicated page, their own Fotolog, to which they can upload photos and add comments. Signing up for membership takes just a few clicks. Fotolog members can then upload their "photo of the day" – one photo only per day – onto their page, with or without comments. The only person who can upload photos to the personal page is the account holder. All photos are freely accessible, but only registered members can post comments.
Fotolog is a way for web users all over the world to get in touch: Fotologgers can list "Fotolog friends" on their personalized page. These thumbnails are constantly updated, every time a "Fotologger" friend posts a new photo of the day. Interest groups form around shared enthusiasms or a favorite brand.

Fotolog is the no. 1 social network in Latin America and one of the 10 most active social networks in the world with:

  • - Over 24 million members and 30,000 new members daily
  • - Over 620 million photos online
  • - 10 new photos posted every second
  • - 1 million new photos posted every day
  • - Daily average time on site of 22 minutes
