The principle is simple: Fotolog provides its members with a dedicated page, their own Fotolog, to which they can upload photos and add comments. Signing up for membership takes just a few clicks. Fotolog members can then upload their "photo of the day" – one photo only per day – onto their page, with or without comments. The only person who can upload photos to the personal page is the account holder. All photos are freely accessible, but only registered members can post comments.
Fotolog is a way for web users all over the world to get in touch: Fotologgers can list "Fotolog friends" on their personalized page. These thumbnails are constantly updated, every time a "Fotologger" friend posts a new photo of the day. Interest groups form around shared enthusiasms or a favorite brand.
