Following the quarterly revision of the Euronext Paris indices made on 24 November 2006, the Scientific Board for indices decided to add Hi-Media to the sample constituting the CAC IT index, as well as the CAC Small 90 index and the SBF 250 index. That decision becomes effective on 18 December 2006.
This inclusion emphasises the good liquidity offered by the issue and the high level of daily trading, which is significant in the light of the company's market capitalisation.
The CAC IT index consists of shares of companies involved in technological activities in the broad sense (software and computer services, equipment connected with information technologies, telecommunications, media, and electronic and electrical equipment).
The SBF 250, like major international indices, is aimed at representing the market tendency as a whole, as well as in its economic components, thus providing a long-term reference instrument for managing funds invested in French equities. It is the comparison tool needed by economists, analysts, financiers and issuers for their economic valuations of businesses. The CAC Small 90 index, on its part, consists of 90 « small caps » from the SBF 250 index, alongside the ones from the CAC 40 and the SBF 120. |
